SDF Tower has a similar appearance to CVG's tower. Under minimum conditions the controllers are enclosed in the clouds while airplanes are landing on the parallel runways to both sides of the structure. |

N604GA (cn 1037) One of the most unusual aircraft I have seen is the HFB 320 Hansa Jet. A small cargo operator here @ SDF has about 8 of them in their fleet, of which only 2-3 are operational, the rest are used for spares. The most unusual feature are their forward swept wings, which supposedly adds to some aerodynamic advantages. This aircraft crashed on take-off from SUS on 30 Nov 2004. |
