S2-AFO (cn 40122/964) The local time is 23:50, and Biman Bangladesh flight 85 is finally ready for push back from D34 for its flight to DAC, running about 8 hours behind schedule. Perhaps it's the airline's fleet operation issues once again which caused this flight, normally operated by the B738, to get substituted with the B77W. Guess you could see it as a nice upgrade as compensation for the lengthy delay! |

After the retirement of their A343s, China Eastern temporarily operated the A346 on its Honolulu sector, before switching to the A332 (33E config). For the record, China Eastern now uses the A332 with the 332 config to Honolulu. |

Starting in 2017, Hawaiian Airlines will add to its fleet of narrowbodies as the airline has recently firmed orders for 16 A321NEO (with rights for an additional 9) which would complement their A332 and B763 flights to the US Mainland, as well as opening new markets from the Neighbor Islands. |

RP-C7472 (cn 27262/1012) Philippine 103 heavy lifts off from runway 08R, bound for Manila after a brief tech stop in Honolulu. Due to prevailing winds, passenger/cargo loads, etc., Philippine Airlines' LAX/SFO-MNL flights often stop in either Honolulu or (more commonly) Guam for additional fuel. As these tech stops always occur under the cover of darkness, I was pleasantly surprised to see PR103 from LAX running a few hours behind schedule that particular morning! |

Months later, China Airlines would suspend this nonstop flight between TPE and HNL, only to announce service resumption in June 2013. However, the schedule of their re-introduced flights will be quite different, with a 1AM departure out of HNL (similar to those of Hawaiian Airlines and EVA Air). |

In addition to the reduced visibility, these conditions bring along unfavorably hot and humid weather. A Hawaiian B712 is photographed completing another inter-island hop, bathed in a characteristic reddish hue from the vog and low sun. |

(cn 23257/1124) Trucked to ITE College Central's impressive new campus in Ang Mo Kio in early 2012, this B737-300 has since been reassembled and painted with a customized "Air ITE" livery. Looking magnificent under the floodlights, this aircraft sees a new life—not flying, but giving students a hands-on opportunity with aircraft maintenance and other related courses. Though I'm not 100% certain, this particular airframe could possibly be line number 1124—former PK-AWU of Indonesia AirAsia. |

PK-LJO (cn 38315/3954) A colorful variety of airlines congregate at Terminal 1 at Changi Airport. PK-LJO gets pushed out of gate D32, bound for CGK as JT155. This special color scheme commemorates 60 B737-900ERs in the Lion Air fleet. However, subsequent milestone liveries simply indicate the number of "Boeing Next-Generation 737s", a small detail worth noting after Lion Air converted orders for several B739ERs to B738s. |
