N69059 (cn 29454/864) Taken after the tug driver stopped the aircraft on taxiway C. N69059 is now seen warming its engines, ready for its long flight . . . er, taxi back to the other side of the airport! Love the lighting effect on this one, this B764 sure knows how flash! Clouds also make a nice touch to the photo. |

N727M (cn 22541/1797) I would like to dedicate my 1,000th photo on Airliners.net to all the people I’ve met hanging around airports, as well as the guys at Kamaka Air. The reflection of this mighty B727 made me reflect about the many great memories I've shared with them, and hopefully there will be many more to come! |

N401WJ (cn 599) After a brief downpour, a nice puddle formed on the tarmac, leaving this nice photo opportunity. This sharp Gulfstream V, bathed nicely by the airport lights, rests quietly as heavy clouds drift above in the night skies, with the almost mirror-like reflection adding a final touch to the photo. Even though this shot left me soaked with aircraft oil, the result leaves me with no regrets! |

HS-TAB (cn 371) On my way from BKK to SIN on TG421. While cruising off the coast of southern Thailand and northern Malaysia, we passed quite a few of these lighting storms, while I was enjoying my supper of Thai chicken curry. I was pretty lucky to finally catch one of the many lighting flashes inside these dark ominous clouds, as the last light of the day illuminates the western skies. Also somehow lucky to get the wing strobe to flash at the same time, talk about luck! |

N823AL (cn 23154/1078) To commemorate their 60th anniversary, Aloha Airlines painted N823AL into the Funbird colors of the 1970s. Red and yellow flowers can be seen on the bright orange tail, as well as on the classic cheat line. As a bonus, the belly and engines were also polished nicely. Flower Power is seen approaching runway 26R with the Koolau mountain range behind. What a classic Hawaii shot! |

JA8088 (cn 26341/902) Flying from NRT-HNL on JL80. What an amazing sunrise, just captured moments after the first light of the day burst through the sky. The winglets with the rising sun makes the photo very appropriate. The ground still remains dark as the full moon sets into the dark cloudy Pacific Ocean. This brilliant sunrise at 41,000 feet happened all so fast, but it was a sight never to forget. |

B-5112 (cn 34248/1806) A brand new China Southern B738, fresh from BFI, sits on the South Ramp on a sunny, yet rainy afternoon at HNL. Thanks to these rather interesting weather conditions, rainbows are a pretty common sight in Hawaii. Yet, I rarely get them in an aircraft photo . . . what are the odds? |

05-5147 / HH (cn F-154/P-147) One of the Hawaii-based C-17s (the Hawaiian flag behind is very appropriate) is seen resting in the Continental hangar for maintanence. Interesting perspective of the aircraft from the front, and a nice size comparison with the other hangar objects. |

N480HA (cn 55125/5070) Wow! Another super-late takeoff by this Hawaiian B712 gives me the opportunity to get her with the misty Ko`olau mountains behind! Note those two tall pine trees; heard there was some sort of estate up there? Another one of my favorite Hawaii shots; how much more "Hawaiian" can you get? |

N223UA / 2123 (cn 30224/357) With a nice dark rainy background, this United Airlines B772 lifts off from runway 22L nicely lit, on its way to Japan. Love the fogging in the engines, and the huge blast of jetwash streaming off those huge PWs! I also consider myself lucky in catching those anti-collision lights! |

JA8088 (cn 26341/902) Before sunrise, a surreal mix of blues and purples truely made this a wonderful scene. The winglet of the rising sun and the setting moon also made a nice contrast! Flying from NRT-HNL on JL80. |

N14180 (cn 14500900) A fabulous view of LAX after departure from runway 25R on DL7768 (LAX-PHX). The number of aircraft on the ground is simply amazing; there's just way too many to count! Some interesting planes include the two Korean Air birds, the QF B744, the Song B752, and the Alaska Airlines Disney plane (N784AS). You can also see almost every aircraft type in American Airlines' fleet. Looks like the famous Theme Building is undergoing some maintenance, which is why it doesn't look so good right now. Great So-Cal day! |

N747GE (cn 19651/25) It's been a little over one month now, and this GE B747-100 was stuck at this stall the whole period due to the pylon fire in the No.2 engine. She will leave HNL late January. Compare the No.2 engine with the No.1 engine . . . crazy! |

JA01AN (cn 33916/1781) A Brand new ANA B737-700 seen taxiing to runway 08L at HNL sporting a golden livery. It will continue its delivery flight to Japan. Those colors look quite different to say the least, as I am not used to seeing an ANA aircraft in another color other than blue. The weather had a lot to be desired. |
