SX-ECH (cn 26) The Greek government aircraft after it suffered devastating oscillations over Romania on September 14, 1999, caused by inappropriate action with the autopilot in a high speed descent after the pitch feel warning light came on. The aircraft landed safely at Bucharest, but 7 passengers, including the Greek foreign affairs deputy minister, were killed and the cabin was destroyed. The aircraft was ferried to Geneva on November 11, 2000 for repairs. It later became N900RN. |
