PH-KCH / CH-008 (cn 48562/591) Two great ex-KLM tri-holers seen sitting in a corner of Victorville, awaiting their fate as scrap-metal while already being stripped down to pieces for spare parts. The tail and winglet visible to the left belongs to PH-KCI while -KCH has no winglets, doors or engines left. Sad to see these gorgeous jets disappearing so fast. |

UR-PSC (cn 29662/3182) Seen on final approach for runway 26 on a nice and sunny winter afternoon in Tyrol, completing a ski charter flight from Kiev. The mountain chain in the background is the well-known 'Nordkette'; the thin, towering peak to the very left is called 'Frau Hitt' and 2270 meters high. An ancient legend says 'Frau Hitt' was a queen of giants on her horse who met a beggar asking for food. All she gave was a rock instead of something edible, and the beggar then cast a spell on her, transforming her into stone. |

D-ABDU (cn 3516) This Air Berlin Airbus is seen after vacating runway 16 via twy E7 as the sun is about to set and gives us some stunning sunlight after a huge thunderstorm moved through. The airport was closed for some 30 minutes due to the CB passing exactly above with heavy rain and plenty of lightning. The Zurich ATC tower on top of Terminal A as well as two Lufthansa aircraft and a Swiss A320 can be seen in the background. |

VP-CTT (cn 139) 'Planes fly well if they look good' is one of Dassault Aviation's design philisophies, and they did an excellent job on the Falcon series business jets. This beautiful F2000EX is seen climbing out of runway 21 just about 20 minutes before the sun sets behind the mountains of the Engadine valley with its livery reflecting nicely on the upper surface of the wing. The elevator input by the crew can also be seen as they are about to retract the landing gear. |

HB-XOE (cn 1019) Air Glaciers was one of many helicopter operators flying all weekend up here in the Swiss Alps, transporting equipment and passengers to approx. 2200m ASL for the annual Lauberhorn / Wengen men's world cup downhill race. This classic Alouette is seen approaching the temporary helipad in a steep turn to pick up another load of people after the race, flying them down to Lauterbrunnen.
