Ford Island Naval Auxiliary Landing Field (former Ford Island Naval Air Station) closed since July 1, 1999 when NAS Barbers Point closed and then reopened as Kalaeloa Airport. All hell broke loose here on December 7, 1941. The tower is near the center of the photo and the Pacific Aviation Museum is housed in Hangars 37 and 79 which are to the right and slightly behind the tower.
