CS-TTO (cn 1127) An overview of part of the runway, it's an amazing building structure over the sea. See how big it is, comparing with the Airbus A319 of TAP Air Portugal (CS-TTO). In the base of some concrete pole you can see some buses (it looks very small) and in background you can see the hill called "Pico do Facho". (photo with: 1600px) |

6419 (cn D044) Cockpit view over runway 23, watching a land of Thomas Cook B757 (over threshold) with good weather day. The fuselage of this Nord Noratlas is in great shape for an aircraft without any kind of presevation, as you can see inside the cockpit. I wonder who stayed with the instruments? |

LN-RRS (cn 28325/1014) An overview over the field, quite align with runway 05 and with the last lead-in-lights of the approach curve, there is only a few places here we could be align with the runway 05. The SAS with a smokey touch down but not at the middle of the runway, he was struggling with the tail wind on the approach |

G-EZEB (cn 2120) The light was almost gone in Santa Cruz, still enough time to catch this easyJet making her approach, coming in her second daily flight from Lisbon. If you knew the old runway, you will know that the runway ends at that first corner "at the sea" on the right side, behind the TAP Portugal on her taxi. I get 4 red lights, for sure they don't :P |

CS-TNM (cn 1799) A few years ago i made a picture similar to this one (ID:0475545), that become well knowned all over the world. Today i made a vertical one, also with TAP Portugal aircraft, this time an A320 instead a A319 :P Today the space below the runway is a lot diferent from those days, they built a Sports Area, with tennis courts, handball, basketball, futsal, running fields, also areas to live concerts, sail (entrance to the sea) and much more... It's 180 poles with 60meters high |

F-WWAI (cn 001) Just compare the diferent sizes of the engines. I think that probably in the A380 engine it fit's 3 A343 engines or probably not. And it looks like that the A380 engine is touching the ground... ;) |

Usually i make night shots after sunset, but i always wanted to try the sunrise, because i think since the sun rises at the airport side and we cannot see the sunset, the colors at sunrise will be more powerful than the sunset. So today i tried with the EC-KRA (daily cargo flight) landing at runway 05, ten minutes before sunrise... |
