N54344 (cn 21631/1460) This TransMeridian 727 was a victim of Hurricane Wilma's category 3 winds. It was parked next to another 727 and despite the fact that both planes were anchored with concrete weights, they were blown into each other. This one is most likely a write-off |

N306GB (cn 193U-1138) This Tristar was actually being prepared for delivery to a customer when Hurricane Wilma ripped through Miami. The category 3 winds turned the Tristar completely around, damaging several pieces of ground equipment in the process. Note the damage to the number 1 engine. I have to wonder if it will ever fly again. |

C-GACC (cn 20550/1030) This 727 was sitting next to a TransMeridian 727 when Hurricane Wilma blew through. The Category 3 winds blew both planes into each other. Besides the obvious damage to the wingtip, note the crumpled noise supressors on the number 2 and 3 engines. The damage to the other plane was much worse. |

C6-BGL (cn 22087/673) With Runway 09/27 being closed at MIA for the month of October, many flights that would normally depart on 27 are now using Runway 30. This allows opportunities for some spectacular takeoff shots in brilliant afternoon light, quite unusual for MIA |
