N6123C / 44-86893 (cn 108-47647) On the occasion of Austria's National Holiday, the annual Airport Open day took place again, offering some displays by several aircraft. Finally, I spontaneosly decided to rush out into the approach area on the late afternoon to see what's still left there to take a few photos of. Luckily the Mitchell made it all worth, seen her returning to the field after a flyby display. |

G-BUSH (cn 042) A lovely mood could have been caught when aircraft provided the right altitude at the right time. Seen here a Speedbird ship during its intial climb-out, just before crossing the evening sun. |

OM-NGJ (cn 34755/2187) A rather old picture although it is afflicted with yet a current issue: On August 31, 2009 SkyEurope Airlines had to declare its bankruptcy due to the lack of money. Thus it may be hard to believe that the carrier was indeed valued (by Skytrax) to be East European's best low cost carrier between August 2007 and July 2008. Reason enough to fondly remember the low fare schedule flights serving once from Innsbruck as well, to Vienna, Amsterdam and Paris-Orly. |

D-ABLB (cn 36115/2692) Just vacated the runway and has entered the taxiway with the reverse thrust cowling still being extended while the setting sun is reflecting its rays on the window row. |

S7-AIR (cn 1535) Beside the local shuttle company Helicopter Seychelles Limited, Zil Air is a newcomer in the industry, providing scenic flights and comfortable passenger transfers all across the islands of Seychelles as well. The bee is seen shortly before lifting off at its tiny base for a next service to one of the unique atolls. Was formerly N927JM and operated services with "Wells Fargo Bank Northwest NA Trustee" and "JKM Property Holdings II" by the same reg, following the new reg, S7-AIR, on January 13, 2009. Thanks to GK for taking this snapshot. |

D-FONE (cn 18118) Just caught right in time as a sunny patch revealed the sun while its rays strike the edges of this classy oldie on this otherwise quite cloudy Friday afternoon. Dedicated to fellow A.net photographer Nils Baker who I thank so for the ramp access and A.net photo screener Stefan Sonnenberg for all the attendance troughout the trip during my days up there. Was really an enjoyable time with you buddies! ;) |

Kavala Airport, located in northern Greece, belongs to the small town of Kavala city can be seen during the downwind leg of the approach pattern towards runway direction 23L. Elevated at 5m with a total length of 3000m, makes the Lockheed Tristar on the Eastern apron a welcome sight. It's the year-in year-out bird, N102CK. Thanks to Mr. Gunter Krewedl, who actually took this shot. |

OE-LNP (cn 30420/1100) Probably Vienna's most famous and in my opinion the most attractive spotting location can be seen from above. The banking shots on rwy29 on the "Charly" departure route are to be taken right on the small road alongside the trees on the very bottom of the frame. It's lovely there! ;) Thx to Mr. Gunter Krewedl who actually took this shot. |

HL7604 (cn 29907/1370) Although I hoped for the new colors to catch, which are still missing in my collection, I must admit that her arrival lighted up the evening's inbound sequence and was finally a nice goody in the end too. Seen her a split second from touchdown on 16. Parking deck four at floor eight is a good choice for evening arrivals — with nice hilly fields and forests doing the backdrop. |
