G-ZAPO (cn E2176) March 2009 saw Titan Airways celebrating 21 years of charter operations. The company’s sizeable fleet includes two 146QCs and a 146QT, which can take bulk, loose or containerized freight loads up to 10,000kg and 10,300kg respectively and can operate into the most noise-sensitive airports such as London City. This QC has been based here at Edinburgh for some time, operating a mail contract. |

G-BVVK (cn 666) One of the two Loganair Twin Otters that serve the Hebrides is seen here on Traigh Mhor beach after its seventy-minute flight from Glasgow, a wonderfully informal operation by today’s standards, with the flight deck door open all the away and the First Officer stepping over the Captain’s sandwiches to do the safety announcements. Cruise was at 140kt at 6500ft. This Otter was previously with Wideroe as LN-BEZ, and still bears Norwegian signage in the cabin. |
