G-VSSH (cn 615) VS18 from Newark gracefully looming over the threshold of 27R not long before sunset, banking slightly to the left in the stiff crosswind this evening. The golden low setting sun illuminating the N1 fans and fuselage nicely [Canon EOS 10D + Sigma 50-500 EX] |

F-HSEX (cn 26878/966) New TUI coloured Corsair 744 about to thunder over Maho beach. This one was a real surprise as it wasn't on the SSBB arrivals board, nor did I know it was planned, so seeing the blue monster fly abeam the field was a very exciting moment. This one is for (pilot) Chris who ran over to stand under this one - good luck with the airlines! [Canon EOS 10D + EF 17-40 f4L @ 17mm] |

G-CPEN (cn 28666/751) BA911 from Frankfurt touching down on 27R in the summer evening sunshine. You can see left rudder deflection to counter the stiff crosswind this evening. Most aircraft touched down on one gear before the other and this was no exception and is displaying a little gear tilt as the weight comes down on the left side [Canon EOS 10D + Sigma 50-500 EX] |

Overview of Heathrow around midday, taken from Easyjet 737 G-IGOX en-route back into STN - I couldn't believe my luck that I got such clear skies below! See if you can spot Concorde! Note how few aircraft there are around T1 in comparison to T3/T4, and how few runway activities there are - a 747 has just vacated 27R and there are some "heavies" taxying to 27L from the south side only. You can see the very muddy Terminal 5 construction area in between 09L and 09R. [Canon EOS-300D, EF-S 18-55mm] |

G-VFAB (cn 24958/1028) High over the Atlantic en-route to LAX and the Y cabin is enjoying the superb Virgin IFE. This aircraft is fitted with the state of the art V:Port IFE which provides hundreds of hours of film on demand, CD albums, seat/SMS messaging/email and flight phones as well as games and a fully interactive zoomable flight map. As you can see the screens are very generously sized for Economy at 9 inches. V:Port is fitted to all A340-600 types and 5 out of the 8 LHR based 744s. [Canon EOS 10D + EF 17-40 f4L] |

G-VFAB (cn 24958/1028) After arrival in a sunny and warm LAX, a quick visit to the flight deck was permitted. Many thanks to the kind Captain for allowing us and also thanks to Lee for arranging the visit, as well as Justin for the excellent holiday. You can see our own reflection in the terminal glass in front. I wouldn't mind spending my working life in here :) [Canon EOS 10D + EF 17-40 f4L] |

N280SK / JRM (cn 145381) Hopefully this will be my 200th photo uploaded :) Taken after arrival in a cold and snowy Buffalo. Many thanks to the very kind Captain for chatting to me and allowing me to take this photo. I like the 145 flightdeck - in some ways it has kind of an Airbus feel to it. OO-DPK (cn 23492/89) I've always liked the yellow DHL colour scheme and I finally caught up with it in lovely sunset light. I think it looks particularly smart on the sleek 757. Lining up on 27R as the BCS776 to Paris Charles De Gaulle after what seemed a very long wait at the hold for this cargo bird. [Canon EOS 10D + EF 70-200 f4L + EF 1.4x II extender] |
