Finally I could take a clear overview of IKA. You can see the new southern runway is under construction and half completed. It wastaken on the day that Qatari A321 on the way DOH-ZAG had engine problem and made an emergency landing at IKA safely. The 158 passengers who were waiting for replaced aircraft from DOH got a memorable hospitality by airport managers there. |

You can see whole airport, both runways 29L/R civil ramps north of the runway and military parking south of the runways, Milad tower up-right, lovely Fat'h Sq right, Azadi sport complex up-left and half snow covered Alborz mountain up side of the photo. |

She has 37 years old.She now is flying as a civil passenger airplane in last years of her life in Saha Airline.IRIAF will convert it to Tanker configuration by 2014. Look at auxiliary air intakes of its old JT3D-3B Turbofan engines in open position around its nacelles, they are helping engine to suck more air for boosted take off. they will be closed during flight |

Transport ramp of 7th Tactical Fighter Base is visible in this shot.Il-76TDs of the air base are now worn by current blue transport color scheme style of IRIAF, three of them are visible in center, also two Lockheed P-3F Orions are visible in right side along with PC-6B2/H2s of this air base.7th TFB at Shiraz is second largest and important air base of Iranian Air Force. |
