10434 F-6 was a supersonic fighter interceptor made in China. It was a copy of Russian-made MIG-19, which was first time test flown in Soviet Union (Russia) in 1953. China manufactured them in 1961. Pakistan Air Force decided to induct these combat machines soon after the 1965 War, and formally inducted them in 1966. A total of 258 F-6’s were on the PAF inventory, which equipped 11 fighter squadrons during different periods. Thus F-6 is a true symbol of Pak-China friendship. |
