OY-KHO (cn 53003/1844) This is what's left of the cockpit of "Dana Viking", fading away on a scrapyard. December 27, 1991 "Dana Viking" takes off from Arlanda as flight 751 and only 4 minutes later it crashes into a field (location, Gottrora). The crash occured due to ice on the wings which came loose and made engine failure on both engines. The aircraft went into three pieces but all 129 onboard survived thanks to a magnificent work on flight deck from Capt. Stefan Rasmussen and F/O Ulf Cedermark. Great luck helped too. |

EI-CTB (cn 29937/1238) Here she is, still at our airport one day after she was going to depart to London Luton. The evening before she was going to depart as flight 3607 to London Luton, but when taxiing out to the runway she came a bit out of the taxiway and got stuck in a 30- to 40-centimeter-deep hole. Everybody had to be evacuated. Sometime during the night they got her loose from the hole and towed her to apron 3, and that's where she is now. As you can see they are replacing the left tire of the left landing gear. |
