86-0012 (cn 500-0098) An interesting aircraft flying over my back garden on this very clear Spring afternoon. Not long afterwards I also spotted a C-17 following exactly the same track - heading out west towards the Irish Sea for the Atlantic crossing. Many thanks to Michael Brazier again for his unstinting support with these images. |

F-HPJE (cn 052) Air France flight 066, from Paris to Los Angeles, flies closer to Manchester than I have seen before, which presented an opportunity to take a photo from home. Flying at FL300, so not yet at cruising level, the aircraft turned left to track out over the Irish sea towards Northern Ireland. Thanks again to Michael B for guidance. |

G-VTOP (cn 28194/1100) 'Virginia Plain' is photographed preparing for departure on its stand at Terminal Two. In the far distance (above the flightdeck), parked on a remote stand, is a rare visitor to Manchester - a Qantas 747, VH-OJS. Dedicated to Michael Brazier - I have learned so much from your expertise. |

A6-EDD (cn 020) Taken from my back garden, this photo shows Emirates 202 overflying the South Manchester area, heading east. The aircraft is at 33,000 feet, and doing a sprightly 670 mph (582 knots), on its journey back from New York JFK to Dubai, where it arrived exactly 6 hours later. Wonderful help from Michael Brazier. |

TC-JJI (cn 40709/909) This special livery 777, which is just about visible in this overflight photo, flew over the South Manchester area this Sunday morning, at a height of 35,000 feet. It showed a ground speed of a very brisk 673 mph (585 knots) on its way back to Istanbul from Toronto, and would make it home in well under three hours. Image not possible without the guidance of Michael Brazier. |

A6-EDY (cn 106) Lovely clarity to the air this afternoon, as 'Delta Yankee' passes overhead South Manchester at Flight Level 340. This was the flight from Dubai to Toronto, and the aircraft was heading 275 degrees, at about 500 knots. Six and a half hours later they arrived at their destination. Once again, Michael Brazier has been a great help with the pre-edit. |

F-GITF (cn 25602/909) Air France flight 438 levels at its initial cruising level of FL310, passing over Manchester, on its way from Paris to Mexico City. This aircraft is heading out towards the Isle of Man and Belfast, and then onwards towards its Oceanic Entry Point. It flew north of the North Atlantic track system for the day, just south of Greenland, arriving at its destination 11 or so hours after I saw it. Thanks again Michael. |
