N34AP (cn BA-746) Scenic Air Tours would operate sightseeing flights to the Hawaiian Islands with their colourful fleet of tri-gear Beech 18s, including views of volcanic activity on the island of Hawaii. This image shows a column of steam rising from Black Sand Beach. N34AP was tragically lost together with 10 passengers and the pilot on June 11, 1989 on a sightseeing flight over Hawaii. |

N4770C (cn 20012) USAAF serial was 47-432. This observation plane carried a crew of 2, and had an unusual high tail boom to allow downward visibility at the rear. The floats probably make this example unique. |

HK-3079-G (cn 22538) Port side view showing the possibly unique door arrangement with a full height, forward opening passenger door in the forward half of the cargo door, instead of the usual shorter crew hatch. This dates from its Air America days as N67985, or earlier. Thanks to Alessandro Nati Fornetti for pointing out this unusual feature. |

HK-1703 (cn 43716) Originally US Navy 131613, then USAF 51-17668, images 1222537 & 1089392 show it in MATS & USAF service in 1964 & 1973. In 1978 it entered service as HK-1703 with Lineas Aereas del Caribe, with whom it made a 2 engined arrival at Miami in 1980 after losing part of its rudder. It is seen here in active service with Aerovias del Sur. The position of the USAF roundel can be seen near the registration. |
