N801UA / 4001 (cn 686) California seems to be quite popular with fires, although I've never seen one creating a cloud this big! This cloud reached heights of around 12,000 feet & was around for a quite a few days, creating quite a dramatic backdrop here at LAX. |

VH-OQC (cn 022) Just after lift off, we are treated to this lovely view of Downtown Sydney ... taken from seat 53K aboard QF11. Engine 3 of the quiet & smooth A380 visible. You see the beauty of Sydney here ... if only the skies above LA were this clear! Enjoy! |

VH-OQD (cn 026) The result of QF's self-imposed A380 ground stop is quite visible here! It looks like 1 A380 is finished with its inspection while the other 2 still have their covers wide open for inspection! Hopefully, all of these birds will return to service soon & ole' Nancy Bird will be repaired quickly! |

N703CK (cn 21939/449) The old classics are too good at burning fuel and creating the best contrails! Such an amazing few minutes as we watched this one approach and pass by us! They were 1,000ft lower and 1 mile away laterally as we met over the Pacific. |

HL7487 (cn 26393/958) From this perspective, you see how busy American Airlines is! It's 10.04 & nearly every AA gate is taken with only 1 completely empty. The Qantas is under tow for the day & a few Asian carriers (HL7487, HL7574) left to depart shortly. LAN (CC-CQE) A340 joins a Mexicana as well to round out the International flavor here. LAX is a busy place! |

VH-OJT (cn 25565/1233) Well, if you've ever wondered what the interior of a Qantas 747-400 looks like, here it is. The nice new Qantas red seats have been fitted & it's a full house here a couple hours away from Auckland. Qantas has the best service, with the nicest crews. I hope you fly them soon! |

9V-SFM (cn 32898/1333) The sunset was so kind and left enough light to welcome this Singapore Cargo 747 into LAX tonight, creating quite a magnificent photo opportunity that I'm sure you'll enjoy! |

N837NN / 3FP (cn 30908/3268) HEADS UP! Technology is always changing the way we view things, especially in the cockpit. Although American mandates use of the HUD by crews, every 737 Captain I've spoken to doesn't like it at all ... they've all said it throws off their flare big time! Regardless, it looks amazingly appealing and quite cool! |

VH-OQA (cn 014) Two brothers of Australian descent spend some quality time tanning together here in Los Angeles, California ... note the taxiway under construction as well; it's now complete and a QANTAS A380 was first to taxi—under water cannon salute—on taxiway "Romeo." G'day, Folks! |

N128UA / 8128 (cn 30023/1245) I've brought you the interior of the QANTAS 747-400, so I thought I might as well let everyone see the interior of a United Heavy ... not as impressive as QF if you ask me, but the ride was still great across the Pacific (SFO - SYD). |

A wonderful, partial overview of MSP on departure from Runway 12L ... judging by this shot, you'd think MSP was actually a busy place since every gate is taken. The threshold of Runway 30L is also in sight! |

N814NN / 3EP (cn 29562/3085) The most awesome approach I've ever done into O'Hare, took us right over and past the airport itself! Here you see a wonderful overview of all 7 Runways with an Air France A343 rolling out on Runway 28. About 15 mintues later, we landed Runway 28 as well ... inbound from Los Angeles, California. |

Las Vegas McCarran captured shortly after our departure from Runway 19L ... note the 747SP and Virgin 747 as stand-outs among the overall standard aircraft crowd. Gotta love Vegas! |
