HB-FRB (cn 1010) A brand new 'Next Generation' PC-12 is seen crossing the Stans to Ennetbürgen road on its way from the Pilatus factory to Buochs airfield. Roads crossing taxiways and even runways are not uncommon in Switzerland |

PH-BDO / DO-012 (cn 24262/1642) Consolation prize caption: A KLM airliner was escorted into a Duckburg military airfield by fighters today after inadvertently overflying McDuck's Money Bin. Seriously, for those unfamiliar with it, the intrepid duck is a female mallard which should be about 58 cm (23 in) in length |

2245 (cn 94A6410) MiG Alley! This former German MiG is the centrepiece of a lasergaming dungeon near Amsterdam. A skull is piloting the aircraft, and another one is riding on the pitot tube! Many thanks to the kind people of Silverstone Laser Games for the photo opportunity |

H-3404 (cn 58-1173) Now this is pretty rare - an Indonesian AF Sikorsky S-58, alive and kicking! The old horse seems to be based here as a base rescue helicopter. This turbine-powered conversion is still officially designated UH-34D |

C-GCVL (cn 273) Air Canada never operated the Caravelle, but the Musée de l'Air's F-GCVL was temporarily painted in AC colours for the shooting of the movie 'L'Instinct de mort' or 'Public Enemy Number One', on the life of the criminal Jacques Mesrine. Note the classic cars. My first Nikon D80 photo on here |

229 (cn 5502) On 11 May 1940 this fighter was shot down by Bf 110s near Nieuwkoop (which happens to be my birthplace). In 1993, the wreckage was excavated by members of the Crash Foundation. Reconstructed, it now sits in their small museum. It's all that remains of the 1940 Dutch fighter aircraft. [The museum has now moved to Aalsmeerderbrug, just south of AMS] |
