UK - England, April 7, 1990
Remark
Photographer
F-BTSD (cn 213) I flew on this Concorde a year later on a supersonic flight from Paris to Manchester. On this particular day the aircraft was delayed for departure as the fire service attended to deal with a leakage of fuel onto the apron. The aircraft shut down on the taxiway for a while until the matter was resolved.Eventually the aircraft was given the all clear to continue its supersonic charter.

Air OPS
Lockheed L-1011-385-1-15 TriStar 100
Manchester - International (Ringway) (MAN / EGCC)
UK - England, 1999
Remark
Photographer
P4-JAB (cn 193B-1215) After spending years on the ground at MAN this Tristar is seen about to depart runway 24 looking in a very dirty state. The aircraft departed and immediately declared an emergency and returned to the airport passing very low over nearby Knutsford. Some residents apparently complained as they thought it was about to crash!Eventually the aircraft departed to Roswell in the USA for storage. It was performing an engine-out ferry and all 3 INS systems failed on take-off.
