831 (cn 2007) Saying this is a magnificent display of grace, power and noise would be, at least, an understatement. Currently (and hopefully for ever) preserved on the Kalamazoo Air Zoo Museum (Kalamazoo/MI). [61-7956] |

PP-XJA (cn 17000005) Air-to-Air study made on the maiden flight of PP-XJA, the E170 fifth prototype and first to be fully configured with pax interior. Chase plane was ERJ 135 PT-SUC, with right hand overwing emergency door removed, limiting altitude to FL100. Yes, it was cold :) |

PP-XJA (cn 17000005) Another air-to-air study made on the maiden flight of PP-XJA, the E170 fifth prototype. This was a "non-planned" photo, as XJA passed below us on a formation turn..just saw it coming and quickly grabbed my 35mm camera.. Other image (photoid:363672) was made with a 6x7 body/manual focus and zoom.. quite a challenge :) |

PR-FRU (cn 181) Leisurely cruising at FL411 along B208 airway, around 8Nm north to EGEBI intersection, between TYN VOR and SQ radio beacon. We were flying with M.838 and had almost 100kt crosswind from the right.. Very nice experience with a very nice crew. |

HB-IWM (cn 48457/498) Another MD11 skipper leaving his rubber signature on runway 27R. A good laugh would erupt if I said, back then, that just a few years later not only would swissair be bankrupt, but Jura would be flying with Varig as PP-VTH. |

PP-XHH (cn HABL-003035) Originally built as an F.4 for the RAF (as XE704), she served with 112 Squadron, became a maintenance airframe and was then sold back to Hawkers for conversion to a T.72 for the Chilean Air Force. Retired to the National Aerospace Museum in Chile, she was then sold to Embraer to be used as a flight test chase plane. Looks good, doesn't it? |
