N744P (cn 1287) I did not think I would get this photo op so soon ! Three of the US Heritage Scheme's in one photo but just barely as N744P is just parking on Gate 17 as N745VJ is ready to taxi (note the rotating beacon). Also pictured are N742PS, N765US, and NW N361NB, all A-319's not long after a major thunderstorm passed over LGA. In the background two Party Boats have just docked at the Worlds Fair Marina bringing fans to Shea Stadium for the "Subway Series" between the New York Mets and New York Yankee's ! |

N277SK (cn 145355) For those who have never flown into LGA this is the type of "amazing" views of New York City that are common. We are on the Expressway Visual Approach to Runway 31 over Brooklyn, the three bridges visible are left to right , Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg all crossing the East River with the Brooklyn Navy Yard in front of the wing. EWR is visible in the distance above the wing. |

Nice view of Terminal One at JFK as we depart 31L aboard B6 59 to MCO. Present are JAL and Korean 744's and an AF 772, with MaxJet's 762 remote parked as they took a few days off for the Holiday's. At the upper left of the photo is partial view of AA's new Concourse, and the fairly new jetBlue Hangar is also easily visible ! |

N***** Partial LGA Overview from a US A-320 shortly after departing Runway 13. You can see an aircraft has just touched down on Runway 4 and there is also and aircraft in position for takeoff on Runway 13. I also count 7 others in line for takeoff and you can see most of the "Central Terminal Building" and part of the USAirways Terminal. That's Rikers Island (Prison) at lower right of photo ! |

Steinway, and Ditmars, Queens are above the airport, with the "Triboro" Bridge at the top of the screen, with Amtrak's "Hell's Gate" Bridge just below and to the right ! |

N827MD (cn 17000047) Cabin view of "Brand New" Embraer 170 after completing not only her first revenue flight (IND-LGA) but the first US Express 170 revenue flight operated by Republic Airways ! Note there are two full size roll on bags in one of the overhead bins on the left, one of the huge differances between the 170 and 145/CRJ ! |

N767UW (cn 1382) Nice view of three skylines, Brooklyn, and Lower Manhattan, New York City plus Jersey City, New Jersey. The Hudson is above, with the East River below, both busy with water traffic as it is 0845 on a Friday morning. The two bridges are the Brooklyn left, and Manhattan right, and the South Street Seaport is just to the left of the bridges. Nothing beats the "Great Approaches" into my home airport of LaGuardia, this one is to runway 31 ! |

N744P (cn 1287) The Return of Piedmont to the skies as the "Piedmont Pacemaker" heads to the gate in LGA on her inaugural flight in the revised/improved Piedmont colors operating US 514 on appropriately a key Piedmont route in the 1980's, CLT-LGA ! Changes include the much more accurate Piedmont Blue, changing the USAirways titles and flag to Red, adding the 319 banner to the tail, and the more accurate position of the "Piedmont Pacemaker" titles on the nose. Once again "BRAVO" to US for doing these Heritage schemes ! |

This is looking southwest while flying the "Whitestone Climb", LGA was in the land 4, depart 13 configuration that morning. Directly below is the city of College Point (Queens), home of BigPhilNYC, (can you see your house Phil ?) and just to the right of the ILS to Runway 22 is Rikers Island (Prison). |

LGA from about 15,000 feet looking due east. There is what appears to be a CO 737 departing 4 with an unidentified white aircraft on about a one mile final for 31. Note the ice buildup around the airport ! This is my 100th photo on this database. |
