OK-MDE (cn 86601202) This aircraft crash-landed at Nicosia's airport, runway 14 while operating flight CSA 531 from Damascus on 29 August 1973. It overran the runway and veered to the right, 150 m short of the runway end. Thank God no fatalities were reported among the 70 passengers and crew. Since then, the wreckage is situated at the actual place of the accident, 150 m from the edge of the runway. The flag of the former Czechoslovakia is still visible on the fin! |

Overview of Larnaka Airport with the terminal and part of the runaway 04/22 and the apron. At the right hand side of the apron there are 2 IL86 and a Thomson 757. At the left hand side 1 Cyprus A330, 1 BA 767 and a couple of Cyprus A320s. Also, one Excel 757 taxiing to the apron. This is an overview of Paphos Airport. It is a very small airport handling mainly charters and private jets along with genaral aviation. Some days of the week is very busy. The right building is the departure lounge and the left is the arrivals. Wednesday is the british charter day. In the apron on the left there are, a Finair B757 & a white MD80 operating for Air Scandic, 2 First Choice planes B757 & A321, 1 MyTravel B757, 1 Thomsonfly B757 and a government B727-200 with winglets of Burkina Faso. Another FCA B757 is taxing for take off. |

5B-DBY (cn 29099/2982) On short finals runway 22 coming in from Prague via Athens. Sadly crashed two days later operating same flight. Soon after this landing departed to Bucharest. On the 13th, operated the morming flight to Luton and evening flight to Heathrow arriving back home in the early morning of the 14th. Later on, at 09:00 GMT+2 departed for the last time to operate the flight HCY522. |

RA-55204 (cn 80909) This is a very rare aircraft and the only airworthy survivor of its kind. It was destined as an anti-spy aircraft but now is being used as a meteorological survey aircraft. Very rare to see outside Russia. Fitted with an unknown 'cannon' like instrument underwing and a hump device on the fuselage. |
