C-FRYA (cn 53488/2134) My day included terminating this flight from YYZ at noon. Then towing from D49 to D30 then D31, D32, D33 and finally here at D34, where it will sit and rest for about another hour, before finally being towed again back to Gate D49 for its flight back out to YYZ. All these tows were trials for the Calgary Airport, before opening the expanded wing. What a easy day. Rare shot of rear airstairs |

G-OJMB (cn 427) Final Marshallers view of the seconds just after the pushback. This flight was a nightmare to work. LGW guys didnt load how it said on the load plan. YYC cans buried behind YVR cans. And only 5 YYC cans instead of 6. And to top it off, YYC bags loaded in what was shown on the load plan as YVR cans. Our only option was a complete offload, rather then pull the six YYC cans loaded by the door. Routing LGW-YYC-YVR. Quite hard to get a decent picture holding wands in the not clear position, and taking a picture at the same time. Not the guy standing about 200 feet behind the aircraft!! (Engines were running) |

HL7403 (cn 26408/1163) Korean Air Cargo's inaugural flight in to YYC, marking Korean's expansion in to North America. It received a warm welcome compliments of the Calgary Fire Department. Executives for Korean Airlines, as well as media and what seemed to be every airside airport employee were on site to watch the arrival and departure. I dedicate this to Bo Kim, after all the years of us spotters razzing him about Korean Air, his dream has finnally come true. |
