Mi-1 "AirTaxi" as we call it is destined to stay here forever: it is a monument for the heroism, pilots of our flight squadron demonstrated when people just started to explore the Komi Republic. Some people argue, that "Uhtinskiy Aviaotryad" has best pilots in the world. This particular helicopter has been retired because it done everything that was possible in his force to do and we put it on this postament as FIRST helicopter ever to land on the site of future Ukhta Airport.

UN-*** This helicopter was leased from Aeroflot by United Nations to be used in Somalia. Now it is back. Some bad info about Mi-26- its flat-bottom tail plagued its flight career. Under loads, cracks will appear, endangering the whole construction.
