N1464C (cn 172S9897) The G1000 system in flight. What more can I say? Simply magnificent from a pilot's point of view. Operated by Epic Aviation. |

N2033T (cn 172S9942) Operated by Epic Aviation. Over the Gulf of Mexico turning a 2 mile final into Venice on a beautiful evening. Some severe thunderstorms were brewing further inland, however, by the time we arrived at Venice, the weather was absolutely calm and clear. Good company, chill music from the G1000's XM, some nice scenery, and I can already taste some fresh seafood... This is what the $100 hamburger is all about! |

N68182 (cn 18281498) Taken just after emerging from a stationary front, which, with a little help from the G1000, NEXRAD base reflectivity, XM lightning, ATC, and some good preflight planning, we penetrated with no problem at all. The G1000 is a revolutionary system that improves a pilots' level situational aware vastly over a conventional cockpit. The G1000 has so many features that, when properly used by a well trained pilot, make the it more potent than alot of jet cockpits. En route EVB to JNX. |

N1464C (cn 172S9897) Operated by Epic Aviation. Base to final turn for runway 9 at Lakeland while skimming the edge of a benign little summer shower. It looks like legos on the MFD because we're zoomed in so much! |

OV-103 (cn OV-103) The very impressive liftoff of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Equally impressive was the noise it produced, a low freq rumbling and crackling. I didn't think we would be able to hear it from where we were, but it just took a minute for the sound to travel the distance! |

N5219T (cn 172S9136) Operated by Epic Aviation. For all the times that I flew during a beautiful Florida sunset and didn't have a camera... Inbound to New Smyrna Beach on the GPS 29, descending to the MDA. The heading indicator is covered by my buddy's wallet for partial panel work. |

N49134 (cn 15281157) Scott demonstrating a spin before I got to give it a few tries. Spin training is required for initial flight instructor ratings, and it's a lot of fun. |

N5136R (cn 172RG0040) Owned by Colorado Contrails Aviation. Short final for Kimball's runway 10 on the 4th of July. This is a nice little airport in the middle of nowhere, western Nebraska. The ramp area is the small group of buildings on the far left side of the photo, and to the left of the far end of the runway, you can see the new parallel taxiway under construction. An interesting bit of trivia about Kimball is that it was the landing site of Alvin Parker's world record setting sailplane flight from Odessa, TX on July 31, 1964. His flight covered 647 miles! |

An overview of Sanford, the charter hub for Orlando. The gates are about as full as I've ever seen them, with a Monarch A330, an Icelandair 757, a MyTravel A330, a Travel City Direct 747, and an Allegiant MD-80. There are also a few Pan Am 727's sitting lined up by the hangars. |

N475MD (cn 5112/7) What a great honor to step aboard such a classic aircraft! This is one of 10 in the owner's Ft. Lauderdale fleet, and supposedly one of only about 30 that continues to grace the skies. The Jetstar is a beautiful aircraft, and a long-time favorite of mine. |
