D-ABIT (cn 24943/2049) Nearly home after a very long day. Approaching rwy 25R with incredible 124 knots as we're empty and flaps are at 40 units to have a higher power setting. That makes the handling of an empty 737 easier I've been told. |

D-AISH (cn 3265) Both engines warming up prior to a high power run. The big chocks are shaped in a way that the aircraft would roll on them to jam them between ground and tires if it should move. Of course it didn't. |

D-AIG* You need quite some cans of Revell color to paint this model :-) |

D-AIHA (cn 482) Guided tour through the hangar with photo permission. Taken from the upper deck of D-ABVU. There's still a christmas tree behind the Airbus. |

A6-ECQ (cn 35588/779) The APU stopped working. Something every airline pilot hates. You'll be running behind schedule all day long because start up takes longer due to the equipment which has to be removed afterwards. On some positions (like this one) the marshaller will have to block the road because the jetbalst comming from the gate would blow away passing cars. Three high pressure hoses are necessary to bring the mighty GE90 back to live. All right, Engine 2 is clear! |

D-ABIM (cn 24937/2011) This is the new NEK cabin for Lufthansa's continental fleet. NEK stands for "Neue Europa Kabine" (New Europe Cabin). The bins have been modified and the seats are sleeker to allow a higher passenger density without reducing leg space. The forward wardrobe has been removed as well. The deco elements show the Lufthansa brand on brushed aluminum. The light grey and blue elements create an even more reputable look in my opinion. B737 will be modified in SXF. The A320s will be refurbished in HAM and FRA. |

D-ABUH (cn 26986/553) Condor 7264 is lined up on runway 18 for a departure to Mombasa. Our callsign though was Condor 264. In 6 hours and 30 minutes we passed Munich, Innsbruck, Venice, Milan, Malta, the Mediterranean, Tripoli/Benghazi, Khartoum, Nairobi and arrived in MBA on time. In Africa we used an offset of 2 miles to the right on all airways because ATC COM on HF was very bad/not avail. All a/c reported their current positions and ETA of their next waypoint on VHF for better separation. Thank's to the entire crew!!! |

D-ABUD (cn 26983/471) "Ladies and gentlemen, dear kids! Today we'll take off to the south with a fantastic view of the Maledives to your right." Blasting out of Hulhule Island to follow the Lelem 2A SID. Then we followed airway L894 with its waypoints BIBGO, ESMIT, GOLEM, DONSA, BOLUR and KITAL. COM with Mumbai on HF worked just fine. Dial a HF Freq., push the PTT button shortly to hear the adjustment of the antenna on your boomset and make a position report like this: "Mumbai, Mumbai, Condor 327 at waypoint BIBGO 0925Z. FL320. Expecting ESMIT at 0955. GOLEM is next." |
