N215PJ (cn 172S9711) Atlantis, Phase I on the right, Atlantis, Phase II in the centre, Atlantis, Phase III under construction on the left. Sooner or later this island will have to sink into the ocean giving in to the weight of what's being put on top of it! |

RWY 7/25 - 2,200'x50' - But it's only that long due to the slight bend towards the Eastern end, as the island was too short. This is what the Bahamas & Caribbean Pilot's Guide adds: "Luxurious private estate. Permission required prior to landing". I'm glad they've included the phone number! |

P4-FSH (cn 21963/441) I'm definitely in the wrong line of work. This bird was the transport for a "miracle evangelist" (yeah, right) who came to Nassau for two nights. We were in a more modest plane (C172) - shot after take off from RWY14. |

N133RS (cn 606) After failure of the first engine, the pilot managed to secure it. Shortly after, on approach for 14, engine no. 2 quit as well. The pilot managed to find a bulldozed piece of bush, 253 ft. long, and put this bird down - 3,200 ft from the threshold. Pilot sustained no injuries. You can see the landing gear spar coming through the nose. |
