G-AREK (cn 10365/5) Originally delivered to the USAAF on 3rd August 1944 as 42-72260 a C-54A. It was converted to a Carvair at Southend in 1962, it's first flight as a Carvair was on 2nd November of that year. Seen here at Southend in storage after withdrawal from service by British Air Ferries / Pauling. It crashed at Griffin, Georgia on 4th April 1997 whilst operating with Custom Air Service.

WL679 Built by Vickers-Armstrong at Bournemouth in 1953 and delivered to the RAF on 9th October of that year. It ended it's service career with the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough on 2nd August 1991 and is now to be found in the RAF Museum at Cosford.

G-APFP (cn 17717/176) Seen here in South Pen, Technical Block A at the BOAC engineering base after a fire in the number one engine. An engine ground run was being carried out by the engineers when a catastrophic failure occurred causing a fire which burned off the outboard engine and outer wing. The burnt outer wing is in the foreground. The aircraft was repaired by splicing on an outer wing section from a retired TWA 707.

71-0291 (cn 12/B002) This is the second prototype two seater which first flew on 18th October 1973 as a TF-15A, it was re-designated F-15B in December 1977. It is seen here wearing the markings of the joint McDonnell-Douglas / USAF test team which operated the aircraft between May 1974 and April 1975 at Edwards Air force Base. In 1979 it was converted to become the prototype F-15E Strike Eagle and first flew on 8th July 1980.
