By April 1988 it was flown by BAe at Warton as chase aircraft in Tornado radar development trials and was then flown into storage at Shawbury. Tendered by the MoD in 1991, it was purchased by the Lightning Association and flown to Binbrook on 23rd July 1992, where it still resides today. |
