Flying into Houston which is the Mission Control for NASA and the home base for the astronauts, this aircraft from the 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Lousiana, flew special "Return to Human Spaceflight/Failure is not an Option" nose art designed by B-52 crew member Captain Kerry Baker. Also, the names of Astronaut Neil Armstrong and Flight Director Gene Kranz was painted on the window rails. Thank you Col. Jones, Capt. Baker and crew for supporting human spaceflight.

OV-105 (cn OV-105) Last time two space shuttle orbiters meet. "Endeavour" and "Atlantis",her elder sistership, meet tug to tug for final time. This was a special photo op that NASA specially setup to mark the milestone of finishing the mummification of "Endeavour". I can now tick the "preserved" box for her. Next is "Atlantis".

Sky Tigers
Zlin Z-143
Colombo - Ratmalana (RML / VCCC)
Sri Lanka, September 21, 2013
Remark
Photographer
905 This aircraft was packed with approx 215kg of explosives and flown in an attack against the SLAF base at Colombo in May 2009. Shot up by air defense fire, it crashed short and the LTTE suicide terrorist pilot was launched through the canopy to his doom. The explosives did not detonate and the wreckage is now a war victory trophy of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The SLAF IAI KFir was chasing it at the time of the crash and is depicted here.

Remark

EI-LNA (cn 35304/102) A very rare daylight sighting of two Norwegian Dreamliners at Ft.Lauderdale. LNA is on the takeoff roll while LNC is awaiting repair after missing the previous day's flight due to a technical issue. LNA also had a return to FLL earlier today hence this is her second takeoff for the day.

NASA
Rockwell Space Shuttle
Off-Airport - Kennedy Space Center
USA - Florida, January 2011
Remark
Photographer
OV-104 (cn OV-104) You are inside the aft compartment of the space shuttle "Atlantis" for this rare view. The assorted plumbing is to feed the three beasts that live here during a mission. Since they are swapped out post mission, the engines are out now but the large holes for two can be seen. A replica engine is being tested in the #1 slot. The red cladding protects plumbing and indicates the propellant type as H2. The vacuum (on loan) is to clean up as one works in here. Imagine launch and space insertion from here?
