HB-IYF (cn 2000-061) Cabin view of HB-IYF. Despite the Crossair livery outside, this aircraft already has headrest covers with the new Swiss logo. Of course the missing ones will be replaced before the next flight! |

D-ABYM (cn 21588/342) After a long voyage by truck and ship, Lufthansa's 747-200 "Schleswig Holstein" has finally reached its final destination at the Technik Museum (see the famous Speyer cathedral in the background). It will get its wings, tail, engines and gear again to show its old glory to the public. A far better retirement package than a rendez-vous with the scrap man... |

D-ABYM (cn 21588/342) Ever met a 747 in a forest? This LH 747-200 ""Schleswig Holstein" was donated to the Technik Museum Speyer. On the picture you see how its fuselage (minus wings and tail) is towed ashore from a pontoon boat, floating on the Rhine river. As the Speyer airfield is too small for a 747, it had to be carried via truck and boat from the nearest airport (Söllingen). |

P4-AFE (cn 21962/439) When this 747SP was scrapped in Luxembourg, big parts of the main cabin were kept intact for training use. This photo shows the maindeck nose section just after leaving the airport on a heavy truck, bound for its final home in Velbert/Germany. |
