Germany - Navy
Westland WS-61 Sea King Mk41
Off-Airport - Naval Base Kiel
Germany, June 21, 2014
Remark
Photographer
8956 (cn WA760/82) Nowadays a rare sight: A flying Sea King of the German Navy. Seen here during approach to naval base Kiel for a short stop during the Kiel Week celebrations. The Navy is having a hard time keeping these old helicopters airworthy. Usually, only one or two helicopters of the entire Sea King fleet are ready to fly.
