N15YC / 72-1875 (cn CX001) Seen here at 'dawn's early light', this predecessor to the C-17 now lies at rest in the Century Circle display outside of the west gates of this very important Air Force base. |

B-2432 (cn 28283/1142) Here she is in her new colours. Seen vacating 25L for the Far East, this former ANA plane was briefly in Isreal for her conversion, then on to Shanghai for painting. |

N330AA (cn 22330/166) One of the very last pictures we will see of this plane, as she was cut up today. On the left the jaws of doom rip a massive piece of aluminum from the upper fuselage, having already dispatched the wings, and the mid portion of what once was business class. She will be hauled off in trucks to the furnace for smelting. Farewell... |

VH-OQA (cn 014) Not your normal "wing view"...seen here resting at the Imperial terminal, waiting for her return home on the inaugural revenue flight. Some have said that the wings flex from full of fuel resting position to nearly empty under full load during flight is 5 meters! Now that is flex. Look closely and see if you can spot what is reflected on the inboard engine...Hint: All Aboard!! |

G-CIVW (cn 25822/1157) Yes...somewhere in all this mess is an airplane. Finally, the weather here in SoCal gives us some very nice drama. This Speedbird 744 leaves us in the marine layer, spewing vapor, and a very dramatic shot...enjoy |

VQ-BMS (cn 21649/373) Here she is... the brand new Sands 747-SP... their second in the collection. She was delivered to Pan Am in 1979 as N540PA, wore a couple of different titles for them, then passed on to United in 1986 where she became N149UA, then leased a short time to Tajik air. United took here back in 1994, and soon she was sold to the Brunei government in 1996, where she became V8-AC1. In 1999, Bahrain got here, and she became A9C-HHH. On June 1, 2008, she went to the Sands Corp, where she was retitled VQ-BMS. |

F-WWJB (cn 007) In her first appearance here on the west coast, and the second A380 to visit our fair city, this A380 rests after a very busy day hosting the media, VIP's, and special guests. |
