A19-144 Observer seat in the back of the Beaufighter, not exactly first class but still many would be prepared to commit severe crime just to get that seat for a flight. Not me of course ;-) Canon 50D, Tokina 11-16/2.8, F5.6, 1/50s ISO 400 |

PH-XIV (cn 6289) Finally a chance to frame the world's first dedicated jet trainer's cockpit by day light. With 2 seats side by side and simplicity all around as it should be in a trainer. |

N749NL (cn 749-2604) 4 Wright R-3350’s at 45 inch manifold pressure producing a combined total of 10.000bhp kicks up the dust when our Connie does her first full blast taxi run in 5 years. After many years of drawbacks everything is sorted both technical as well as financial and all of us knew for sure that this year it was finally going to happen, the most beautiful aircraft ever created was going to fly ones again. NOT, last week we received a blunt NO from the board. |

PH-NDC (cn 6287) This 1949 prototype of the S.11 with nose wheel which was named the S.12-X(experimental) and first flown by Fokker test pilot Gerben Sonderman in 1950 but never produced in the Netherlands. 50 were build at the Brazilian Fokker plant. This a/c was used for Laminar flow studies in the early 60-ties by the TU-Delft for which it had thousands of tiny holes in the wings and a huge pump in the fuselage. |

N4474 (cn 774) Bob Noorduyn started building his own aircraft in 1934 after learning the business at Fokker. In total 903 Norseman’s were build of which this is number 774. During ww2 it flew for USAAF as 44-70509 but was sold to the civilian market after the war ended. Civilian regi were I-AIAK, EC-ANO, CN-TEE, F-AZBN and during storage in France fake regi D-ANBZ. Probably flying again by the end of 2009 as N4474 after the complete rebuild has been finished. |
