The cabin of the Heron does look a little tight but it gave admirable service to Prinair and flights were short. |

N619PA (cn 61427) This picture was taken from an American Airlines 747 on arrival from San Juan. I had the opportunity to fly the Sikorsky (as a passenger) from JFK to Pan Am Building. As we desended on the roof of the Pan Am Bldg. it looked as if the buildings were rising to meet the Sikorsky. It was a life time experience that I will never forget. |

N***** Caribbean Atlantic Airlines or Caribair. In order to certify the CV-340 for flight operation for St Thomas Airport, Caribair obtained the approval of the FAA by using Solid Rocket Boosters (JATO's) for use in the event of an engine failure. The boosters (JATO"s) were good for certain amount of flights. Once these flight (or cycles) were completed, the JATO were fired for crew training, without any paying passanger |
