Overview of Canberra Airport taken from an aerobatic Zlin Z.242L, turning right after take-off from Rwy 12. We were on an early morning photo trip on 29Jan2007. (This was my 1000th Flight, and this is my 1000th Photo on Airliners.net). Zlin VH-NZL has been sold since, and is now based in Melbourne. The Brindabella Business Park, Qantas Defence Services (QDS) hangar, and Canberra Airport Terminal, and General Aviation area are visible. This area has been substantially redeveloped over the next five years. |

F-WWDD (cn 004) Having seen the interior of Qantas and Singapore Airlines A380s for 60 hours (between Sydney, Singapore and London), viewing the interior of F-WWDD at Farnborough was a surprise. The cabin had limited seating and minimal airline cabin trim. There were many water ballast containers, and a Test Data Recording facility on the main deck. Not an inspiration for loving the A380, pictured on everybodys Airshow passes. This is A380-861 Cn 004 being used as a Development/ Test/ Demonstrator aircraft. |
