TF-EGO / 727 (cn 1463) Taking off at the Múlakot flyin. Note the aircraft parked by one of the summer cabins that many pilots have built on the site. A number of their owners worried about their fate when the raging waters from the volcano melting the ice of the glacier was just a short way off.

TF-FLP (cn 10240) Taken just after the addition of the text to the forward fuselage. "F-27 for 27 years! Thank you" is what is says. It flew with this for the last weeks of its service in Iceland and returned with it when taken back. It was the last of the Friendships in Icelandair service. Of course TF-SYN lasted a lot longer with the Coast Guard.

TF-KAR / 538 (cn 108-2156) At this time the sun was shining from the west, and there was a large shower moving in from the east. What is noticeable is the fine ash in the propwash, from the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull glacier, that dusted the airfield a few times. This dust was very obvious in the grass, when aircraft were landing or taking off. The very dark cloud in the background makes for a stunning backdrop.

TF-LOA / 762 (cn 1283) Flying close to the Mount Esja in the vicinity of Tungubakkar airfield in Mosfellsbær. There have only been three Aeroncas registered in Iceland and only this one 11AC. It was registered in Iceland in July 1997 and has been based at Tungubakkar.
