I-DEIL (cn 28147/611) Mfd. 1996 for Singapore Aircraft Leasing (G-OITL), where AZ lsd back from Apr. 1996. A year later this acft suffered significant damage on landing in crosswind in Newark May 22 1997, when the 1.8G primary touchdown followed by a forced, 2.8G on nose gear, with all main landing gears lifting in the air, hence all the ground spoilers fully retracted. Afterwards I-DEIL was visible tailless for a short time in a Newark hangar. Rebuilt worth more than 20 million USD. Scanned from an old slide. |
