Remark
Photographer
HL7612 (cn 039) Gaining hight from 22R/04L for the long Anchorage - Seoul flight. I was fortunate to meet her 5 months earlier as F-WWAZ (before her delivery) in Le Bourget, France. She was the substitute of the Airbus Industrie A380 (F-WWDD), suffered ground incident before the demonstration flight. The shot is dedicated to my New York guide, Mr. Istvan Kover, who made this spotting session possible for me. Thanks Pisti! Thanks very much!

Malev - Hungarian Airlines
Tupolev Tu-154B-2
Budapest - Ferenc Liszt (Ferihegy) (BUD / LHBP)
Hungary, October 1998
Remark
Photographer
HA-LCO (cn 81A473) Sad picture from 1998: saying good-bye to the last elements of the Tupolev fleet, guiding the Hungarian civil aviation into the jet era, back in 1969. Who thought, things turn into even worse and tragic. Fourteen years later the Hungarian national airlines ceased its operations after 66 years of sometimes cloudy, however mostly glorious activity. This old slide is dedicated to those employees, co-workers and partners, who lost everything on February 3, 2012. For the memory of MALEV Capt. Ásin Alajos.

JAT - Yugoslav Airlines
McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30
Budapest - Ferenc Liszt (Ferihegy) (BUD / LHBP)
Hungary, August 18, 1998
Remark
Photographer
YU-AMB (cn 46988/278) After the ban of the embargo, we were lucky to witness a very-very rare JAT arrival, mostly with their 733s, but this big brother was a very nice surprise. JAT however was not frequently operated Budapest after they retired their DC-9 32s. This DC-10 is a real gem. First flight March 5 1979, delvered to JAT – Jugoslovenski Aerotransport May 14. After 26 years of service (including years of no-fly period) WFU and stored Nimes, France, June 2005. Scanned from an old slide.
