De Havilland DH-113 Vampire NF10
Cardiff (- Rhoose / Wales) (CWL / EGFF)
UK - Wales, August 1982
Remark
Photographer
***** Unidentified Vampire NF.10 remains are seen here in the collection of the Cardiff Air Museum 31 years ago on the edge of Rhoose Airport, bearing evidence of early-'50s RAF night fighter Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey camouflage. The Vampire night fighter served with 23, 25 & 151 Sqns between the demise of the Mosquito and introduction of the Meteor NF11, then with the Central Navigation and Control School at Shawbury. The fleet comprised a thwarted order for the Egyptian Air Force.

Thomas Cook Airlines
Airbus A320-214
Cardiff (- Rhoose / Wales) (CWL / EGFF)
UK - Wales, July 25, 2011
Remark
Photographer
G-OMYA (cn 716) This A320 is seen here arriving as Flight TCX7043 from Reus Airport (Costa Daurada, Catalonia) at 1315 local time. I’ve posted it mainly to show the viewpoint afforded by the balcony of the Rhoose Flying Club Café Bar on the south side of the airfield – this was taken at 150mm focal length and has had minimal cropping. The club even has a screen listing airport arrivals.
