B-2547 (cn 25176/2155) Filthy wing, dark, dirty, pollution—these could be some of the adjectives used to describe what’s unfolding right in this very photo. Sometimes, in flight window views don't always yield the most pleasant of scenes, but I think that they’re interesting nonetheless. Here is a view of a runway 21 approach into the old Guangzhou Baiyun Airport which has since been closed exactly a month and one day after this photo was taken. The dark, polluted, and somewhat uniform buildings make this photo quite depressing. It reminds me of a scene from a cold, stereotypical communist state during the Cold War; the city of Guangzhou today, however, has come a long way and will continue to modernize through the future.
