LV-YOA (cn 47606/727) Scanned from a negative slide. A/c delivered 07. May 1974. Former JA8426, OH-LND. Unfortunately, Dinar Airlines ceased operations one and a half year later after I took this frame. Allegedly this DC-9 has been recently (2008) scrapped. |

RA-82045 (cn 9773052255113) This is really a large bird! A/c came to JUJ bringing an oversized cargo, something like an intercooler for a nearby power plant. Due to its wingspan, she had to park on a taxiway, some 200 m. away from the platform. |

Terminal view from the vacant platform. Until the first quarter of 2008 JUJ was one of the latest state operated airports within Argentina. |

LV-APL (cn 551-0361) A/c parked next to the old control tower, which was operated from 1967, when JUJ was first opened, until the construction of the new tower and terminal building in 1978. This Citation was owned by Andy Deutsch and now is operated by the Government of Jujuy Province. |

0741 / 5-T-20 (cn 11145) Rare visitor at this northern Argentinean location. At the left of the F28 you can see the old control tower of JUJ. Built in 1966, it was replaced in 1978 by the one at the right, which belongs to the far bigger Terminal building opened that year. Since then no further improvement or extension was accomplished at this airport. By the way, “Malvinas” is the Spanish name for the Falkland Islands. This is one of my last paper slides (Canon EOS 500N with Tamron AF Aspherical LD 28-200mm lens). |
