The militairy ramp of Khartoum airport. An impressive number of exotic aircraft are present: including An-12 ST-ASA, Il-76s ST-AQB and ST-APS of AZZA, Il-76 XT-FCB of Faso Airways and quite a few planes of the Sudanese Air Force. The Mils on the ramp are active, the ones parked on the edge probably are not. |

ST-WTB (cn 10034 99994) One of the two Candids that Ababeel operated, here on its way to Darfur. Tango Bravo crashed on June 30th, 2008, when it had difficulties during take-off, according to news sites. Four crew members did not survive the crash. The Ilyushin took off in the same direction as the plane did on the photograph. Immediately south of the runway there is a long, open strip, but on either sides of the open area, houses and offices are built. |
