A different perspective to Lord Howe Rwy 10.The mountain to the Sth East of the field makes Lord Howe both beautiful and a scary place. With any Sth Easter causing huge turbulence and a very rough ride.Qantaslink Dash 8-202 VH-TQS.EOS20D 17-40L |

ZK-SJC (cn 28738/2988) It's a long way down... Overhead Lord Howe Island at FL360, situated in the Tasman Sea 550kms east of Port Macquarie NSW, or 700km east of Sydney. We were operating between Wellington WLG and Brisbane BNE. The LDH runway can be seen in the middle of the island, stretching between Blinky Beach and The Lagoon. |
