66-0286 / 7 (cn 2265) This is a photo of Thunderbird #7 normally flown by the narrator Capt. Art Ivins but on this day at Tinker AFB it flew in the number 3 slot by Maj. Doyle Ruff because the number three plane had mechanical problems. This is the third F-4E manufactured and was delivered to Nellis AFB on October 2, 1967 the start of its operational life. The Thunderbirds flying Phantoms was one great show if you love the noise of afterburners. Camera, Minolta SRT 101 |
