VT-KAC A bad day for Kingfisher! IT-4124 Bhavnagar -Mumbai with 42 passengers / 4 crew overshot Mumbai's already shortened runway 27A (due to runway resurfacing work) in light rain and reduced visibility at around 16:40 local time and is stuck in soft ground. Passengers were evacuated. Extensive damage to fuselage, landing gears, and port propeller! |

UR-82007 / 105 (cn 19530501005/105) A pair of "CONDORS" at either end of a deafening queue left me enthralled and choked for words....how i wish this special day never ended ! The stage was set...the actors playing their part to perfection. Undoubtedly, Unarguably, my most momentous BOM spotting experience ever!!! VT-ESM (cn 27078/987) A Bad day for Air India! Timely information provided by vigilant passengers onboard "KONARK" bound for Riyadh today at 10.30am averted what would have been a sure disaster! Apparently, a fuel leak from the wings onto the engines provoked sparks and fire from engine1 (extreme right). Luckily, the fire was doused in the nick of time. All 213 passengers were evacuated through emergency exit chutes of the 744 which was brought to a halt on A3. Notice the charred engine 1 cowling and the wing leading edge. |
