Pan Am Clipper Connection's rather strange service has predictably ended since my last visit, but things don't appear to have changed a bit for US Airways. Piedmont 4507 to Philadelphia is just underway off Runway 20. |

N100TM (cn 692) Based on other photos of this aircraft in the database, it doesn't appear to spend much time in the United States despite its N- registration. What this world traveler was doing in New Haven this day I have no idea, but I do know this departure was from Runway 2. "Red Sun 3" was the call sign for this beautiful airplane. |

N965HA / HHL (cn 450) 777s, A340s and the like are well-known for their wing flex, but it looks like the phenomenon can happen even with a little old Dash-8. Piedmont 4244 from PHL is battling some tricky crosswinds on short final for HVN's Runway 20. Despite appearances, from my vantage point it looked like he greased the landing, so all's well that ends well. |

N479CA (cn 7675) About a year and a half ago, I was pleased to have my shot of Comair's first flight into New Haven accepted into this database. I now have the somewhat more somber task of recording Comair's final departure from Tweed Airport. Comair 1325 to Cincinnati pulls onto HVN's Runway 20 for the last time, closing down this station for their company. Comair provided the only scheduled jet service into HVN. The tower's parting words were "Comair 1325, it was great having you guys here, hope to see you back some day". Indeed. |
