VH-MWH (cn LC-300) Rare 40 year old Window View taken from Masling Airlines Queen Air VH-MWH on final approach to Newcastle Airport in Oct1969, after a 0.5 hour flight from Sydney. The Stockton Beach is below, and the beached bulk ore carrier Sygna is visible past the engine cowl. (I also flew in this aircraft on a 0.6 hour trip to Sydney on 06Dec69, in the Cockpit, Right-Hand Seat. I was able to photograph the new Sydney International Terminal when landing on Rwy 16, complete with a Pan Am B747-121 at her Gate. |
