This is the Control Center of the ESA Columbus science laboratory, which is part of the International Space Station and Europe's largest single contribution to the ISS. Columbus was launched on February 7th 2008 from Kennedy Space Center and was transported to the ISS in the payload bay of the "Atlantis" orbiter. The lab has been sucessfully installed and is now part of the ISS. [Canon EOS 400D] |

D-AEVA (cn 001) The roll-out of this ambitious US / German regional jet. Unfortunately this bird which had already 60 orders from Lufthansa never reached the milestone of the first flight. The frame was later sold to the DLR for research purposes. |

D-9530 (cn E-1) The Do-31 E1 was preserved for years on the airport of Oberpfaffenhofen. It was lately refurbished by a local company and was now moved to Friedrichshafen. There it will be displayed in the Dornier Museum after its opening in July 2009. |

D-ADLR (cn 5093) HALO, the brand new German atmospheric research aircraft, shortly after take-off from Oberpfaffenhofen. Interesting low light for a nice view from below (obviously). One can see where there are several additional viewports and apertures (all closed here) added to the aircraft for scientific instrumentation. |

D-CMET (cn 329) Early morning take-off of the DLR Falcon 20 for research flight over the Alps. Pilots were so kind to climb out only gently - just for the photographer. Thanks, Steffen and Micheal! |

OE-LXR (cn 9235) When one is able to walk circles around a brand new and polished corporate jetliner in an otherwise empty maintenance hangar, you certainly get to find angles that normally don't come to your mind. Thanks to the intense sunlight through the windows they reflect beautifully on the immaculate fuselage and paired with the wide angle lens it looks quite amazing, at least that's what I think. That's not just an aircraft, that's a piece of art. |

D-BUSY (cn 1070) When spotting @ MUC I always got the impression Challengers are just small hoppers.... But when standing about half a meter infront of one I have to say it's HUGE!! [Minolta Dynax 5D] |
