RI-001 There are two or three C-47s painted as RI-001 in Jakarta. This is the one in the Museum Satria Mandala (Armed Forces Museum). Under port wing are traces of PK-GDZ, a C-47A (c/n 12514) that supposedly crashed on 29 December 1961 killing all 14 on board. Of course this may be another C-47 with a wing of PK-GDZ |

F-347 The Museum Satria Mandala (Armed Forces Museum) in Jakarta is rebuilding, but fortunately in Indonesia this doesn't mean it's closed. Photographic opportunities are better now than they used to be, and probably better than they will be |
